Hey kids, due to a massive upswing in spammers, bots, and other things we just really don't like around here, we decided to make it so that all new accounts are activation only. How does this work, you ask? Well, you sign up and then I get a nice little email which says "Oy! This here bloke wants 'ta be part of yer message boards! Let 'im in?" and if I decide to, I'm like "Alright!" and that's that.
So how do I check which ones to let in and which ones not to? Well, I go through the very arduous process of "Does this user name sound suspicious to me?" If it looks like a bunch of random crap, is a bunch of random crap, or obviously says things like "FREENUDEPICSLOLOLOL" then I'm gonna nix it and move on. So, how do we ensure (or at least raise your chances of) you getting an account on our boards? Send me an email! Be like "Hey Joe, I signed up and still wanna be part of the boards. Let me in? Please?" and I'll be like "You sound human enough. Lemme shut the speakeasy and unlock the door."
Or something like that. But really, the more you convince me you're human (or Corgi), the more likely I'll be to let you into 362. So! With that being said, have at it guys!
Joe out.
