COMIC CONS!

Do you want to talk about something that doesn't fit anywhere else? This tiny little hovel will do for now.

Joe, have you been snorting Ovaltine again?

Wish I could be there Joe, but already drove up to WV for break. The next set though, the next set. :)
Underwhelming friends and family since 1987!

I wonder if I have progressed past "underachiever" to something more akin to "never achieving anything"...

Deli sounds like Dali Lama...

Don't warn the tadpoles!

Wish I could make it to the cons but I can't. You're in my thoughts though! I hope you guys have a kick-ass time!

Joe, leave the Ovaltine at home. You don't want to scare the masses away with drug-induced ranting.

The one in Springfield is on Sunday, don't worry, we're going.

Photos!

Postby Justin » November 24th, 2008, 5:51 pm

Now that we've had a day or so to recover, check out a few photos from 362's first two cons ever!

Image
The Columbia one was pretty small and relatively slow. Here's Joe in the morning being all sleepy-like.

Image
Here was our view of the room, looking down it the long way from our table at the end. Like I said, it was pretty small--but still interesting.

Image
That said, we eventually had a couple of cast members show up--Bobby in person (left) and Ceili over Skype from France--to help keep things lively at our table.

Image
The Springfield con the next day (yesterday) was considerably larger. We were in the middle of one of the long walls this time, and I'd guess the room was two or three times as large as the one before. There was even another artist there! (I didn't think to get a shot of the two artists' tables next to each other (which they were). My bad.)

Image
At one point, though, the power went out for an hour or so (as far as I could tell without checking terribly often--I really need to get a new watch), so Joe had to kick it old-school for a little while. The power came back up while he was still working on a sketch, so he decided to finish it before setting up the Mac again.

Image
And we had some additional fans drop by! From left to right along the table, we've got Kaelin, Thork, Carwin and Chance right here.

Joe's got a couple more cons in the works, methinks, but he knows far more about those plans than I do--so I'll let him post about those when things are more finalized.

Joe...how long has your hair been like that?

I don't remember it looking that way last time I saw you...

Then again...I've only seen you...maybe...three times in...the last...four months.
